Men's high heel races have been taking place in many parts of the country and in other parts of the world, to raise money for charitable causes. On June 12, 2011 Greenville, South Carolina held their first ever Men's High Heel Race downtown with all proceeds benefitting the American Diabetes Association.

All men who enter must race in a pair of high heels, however, they do not have to wear stilettos. Forty-seven men in high heels took to the streets with cheering crowds on Saturday. Ben Woods was the winner of the race.

I think anything to raise awareness and a good laugh, is worth the pain, blisters and sore ankles. Heelarious!
