Coming up Saturday, July 23 from 9:00a to 5:00p is the annual Cypress Community Festival at Oak Knoll Park. This is a FREE event. Bring the entire family to the Cypress Community Festival featuring DJ Shawn Parr & Go Country 105FM. Enjoy the Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast (7-11am), Chili Cookoff, Car Show, Family Games, Food Booths, Business Expo, Children's Rides, Arts, Crafts & Continuous Entertainment. The 5K/10K Run/Walk starts at 7:30 am. This is the largest 1 day festival in Orange Co. drawing about 30,000 visitors. Coming up Monday, July 4, 2011 is the Annual Run for Fun Event! A healthy way to kick off your Fourth of July Festivities! La Palma's Fitness Run for Fun is more than just another run: it's an opportunity to experience that small town/hometown sense of community. 5K/10K runs start at 7:30 am. Yankee Doodle Dash & Family Fun Zone runs 8:30 - 10:30 a.m. The Yankee Doodle Dash is a non-competitive, 2/5 of a mile, run for kids, ages 2 to 12 years old. The Family Fun Zone has plenty to do for families of all ages including inflatable obstacle course, potato sack race and a tug-o-war match. Even the little ones will have fun with the patriotic arts and crafts. The La Palma Kiwanis Club will also serve their annual Pancake Breakfast from 7:30 to 10:00 a.m.

The 4th of July is in a week ALREADY! So get your plans ready! Here are a few different things going on in Huntington Beach! Starting July 2-4 there will be a three day festival! Exhibitors, food vendors, live entertainment (July 4th), family activities and plenty of surf & sand! Fireworks will be shot from the end of the pier at dusk on July 4th. Tickets can be purchased online for Lake Park Breakfast $5, Lake Park Bleacher Seating for parade $15 pre-sale, $20 day of parade, Fireworks VIP Seating $10. TODAY June 24 through June 26 is St. Pauls Annual Greek Festival (4949 Alton Pkwy). "A Taste of Greece" is a fun-filled festival for the whole family with Greek food, music, boutiques, dance (and dancing lessons!) and carnival.

TOMORROW June 25 is the Annual Ride the Coast (Start: Santa Ana Auto mall,1500 Auto Mall Drive Santa Ana, CA 92705).Ride the Coast consists of a non-competitive police escorted open ride that will begin at the Santa Ana Auto Mall wind around Pacific Coast Highway and finish at the Irvine Lake Blues Festival. Participants will be greeted at the finish line by six live blues performances, an array of good food, vendor expo, prizes and the great outdoors. If you don't ride, drive to the end site and enjoy a fun-filled family festival! This event benefits the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Ana.

TOMORROW June 25, 2011 the Friends of the Villa Park Library (FOVPL) are happy to be putting on the seventh annual Villa Park 5K run/walk, the second annual Progressive Marathon, the first annual 10K, and the first annual interrupted 15K which starts and ends at the Villa Park High School. Coming up June 29 at 6:00pm is the Dana Point Historical Society Annual BBQ at Dohney State Park! The Dana Point Historical Society invites you to join in the fun at the Annual DPHS BBQ. The 2011 DPHS scholarship recipients will also receive recognition during the festivities. On the menu for the evening is Tri Tip Steak, Chili, Coleslaw, Salad, and of course, all of the trimmings. The cost per person is $20 (until June 22nd) and $25 at the door. All funds raised at the BBQ will go towards next year's DPHS scholarship awards.
