Something to think about...

If we could shrink the Earth's population to a village of precisely 100 people, with all human ratios remaining the same as now, our world would look like this:

Each of those 100 people would represent ~ 69 million people

61 Asians, 13 Africans, 12 Europeans, 8 Latin Americans, 8 from N America,

1 from South Pacific

22 would speak a dialect of Chinese

50 Females, 50 Males
47 urban
9 disabled
82 non-white, 18 white
33 Christian, 18 Muslim, 14 Hindu, 6 Buddhist, 13 other religions

13 without basic sanitation
6 people would have 59% of the world's wealth

18 live on less than $1 a day
53 on less than $2 a day
13 hungry, 1 dying of starvation
14 can’t read
7 have education at secondary level
12 have access to a computer
3 have internet access
1 with HIV
Spend 1.12 trillion on military, spend less than X on development
