The City of Laguna Niguel will be testing the Alert OC telephone notification system on Thursday, October 20th, 2011 between the hours of 5:00pm-6:30pm. On this day and time you will receive a short recorded message approximately 1 minute long. The test message will be sent only to residents and it requires no action or response on your part.
Alert OC is a county-wide mass notification system and includes Laguna Niguel residents and businesses. This rapid alerting system s designed to keep you informed of emergency event impacting our community. By registering with Alert OC, time-sensitive voice messages from the City or County may be sent to your home, cell, or business phone. Text messages may also be sent to your cell phones, e-mail accounts and hearing impaired receiving devices. You may pick and choose how you wish to be alerted and there is no fee for this service. Please visit the Alert OC website at www.alertoc.com and register to participate in the Alert OC program.
