Live 14 Years Longer...with Simple Disciplines

London did it's part in some very interesting research spanning a 4 year period and the results are simple, yet astounding! Thank you, Great Britain!

To get an extra 14 years of life, you could eat lots of fruits and vegetables, exercise regularly and drink alcohol in moderation. And not smoke.

Note: Kinda sounds like my Mom talking.....

This study, by Brtitain's Medical Research Council head of Nutritional Health tracked 20,000 people from age 45 to 79. Participants filled in a questionnaire from 1993 to 1997, and researchers then tracked their deaths from all causes through 2006. The research showed that people who followed all four habits (the "good" ones) were 4 times less likely to die than those who did none. Those in the study were not asked to do anything exceptional. Behavior patterns that are entirely feasible within normal everyday life were measured.
For more details, the findings are posted on line in the Public Library of Science Medicine journal.

Did your Mom say 'eat your vegetables, eat some fruit'? More proof that Mom's are always right. Please email us your opinions on a healthy life....
Another note: In a separate Danish study it was found that non-drinkers had a 30 percent higher risk of heart disease compared with moderate drinkers, no matter how much physical activity they undertook...
I can't recall Mom telling me to have a drink...but wine was a tradition at the dinner table. Right again Mom!

Thanks for making me Your Orange County Real Estate Connection.
Best regards,

Michael Caruso
